Homemade Ice Cream – Recipes for Vanilla, Chocolate, and Fruity Goodness

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy cold desserts—but who says ice cream is just for hot days? Homemade ice cream is a wonderful way to treat yourself (and your loved ones!) all year round. It’s healthier, tastier, and more natural than store-bought versions. Today, we’re sharing three easy recipes: classic vanilla, rich chocolate, and refreshing fruity.  

1. Vanilla Ice Cream – A Classic That Never Gets Old

Ingredients:

500 ml heavy cream (30%)

200 ml milk

5 egg yolks

100 g sugar

1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp vanilla paste Heat the milk, cream, and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk the yolks with sugar, then slowly pour in the warm mixture. Cook on low heat until slightly thickened. Cool, then freeze—stirring every hour to keep it smooth.  

2. Chocolate Ice Cream – For Intense Flavor Lovers

Ingredients:

400 ml heavy cream

100 ml milk

150 g dark chocolate

3 egg yolks

80 g sugar

Heat milk and cream, add the broken chocolate and stir until melted. Whisk the yolks with sugar, add to the chocolate mixture, and heat gently until it thickens. Cool and freeze as above.  

3. Fruit Ice Cream – A Light and Refreshing Alternative

Ingredients:

400 g of your favorite fruit (e.g., strawberries, mango, raspberries)

200 ml plain yogurt

2–3 tbsp honey or sugar

Blend the fruit with yogurt and honey. Pour into a container and freeze, stirring every 30–60 minutes to prevent ice crystals.
