Chocolate has long been a symbol of love—its velvety taste, aroma, and smoothness perfectly match the romantic atmosphere of Valentine’s Day. Here’s a simple recipe for chocolate mousse, guaranteed to delight with its creamy texture and elegance.  

Recipe for Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients (serves 2):  

100 g dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa)

2 eggs (separated into yolks and whites)

30 g powdered sugar

100 ml heavy cream (30%)

A pinch of salt

Optional: fruits for garnish (e.g., raspberries, strawberries)

A few fresh mint leaves

 

Instructions:  

Melt the chocolate in a water bath, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

Beat the egg yolks with powdered sugar until light and fluffy, then combine with the cooled chocolate.

In a separate bowl, whip the cream, and in another, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture, then carefully incorporate the egg whites using a spatula. 

Spoon the mousse into elegant dessert glasses or cups and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Before serving, garnish with fruits and mint leaves.
